Via Hugh Hewitt, Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-Times reported on how Barack Obama believes Republicans will go after him [emphasis mine]:
Obama “The choice is clear. Most of all we can choose between hope and fear. It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy. We know what kind of campaign they’re going to run. They’re going to try to make you afraid. They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?"
Like a typical liberal jerk, Obama says Republicans are going to use fearmongering in order to win in this election cycle, and then uses his own fearmongering to accuse Republicans of being racists.  As Hewitt says in his conclusion:
To play the victim now is to allow Obama's supporters to begin to nurse resentments that are wholly fictional but which are deeply destructive, and warns us all that Obama isn't about "change" at all.  He's about winning, whatever the cost.
That is exactly right, and anyone with a clue (which includes everyone who is not an Obama puppet) gets it.  And that includes Barack Obama.

Three months ago, Obama gave "the speech" on race relations in this country, and how he was about "crossing the aisle" and "building bridges".  That speech came out after Obama's 20-year ties to the Marxist and racist Rev. Jeremiah Wright exploded on to the scene.  Instead of denouncing Wright on the spot, Obama hemmed and hawed about this and that, and not really saying anything of substance.  As I mentioned in my own commentary on that speech, Obama remained an "empty suit".  Obama did say that Wright's rants against whites weren't anything that he heard in that long 20-year association with Wright and the Trinity United Church of Christ.  And up until now, one could somewhat believe Obama with his flowery rhetoric and his attempt at keeping to the "high road".  Not any more.  It is more than apparent that Obama learned much from the Rev. Wright, especially when it comes to using preemptive strikes of racism.  Add this to the dishonesty being foisted on the American people by the wholly "empty suit" that is Barack Obama.

What is really dishonest is that it has been Democrats who continually show themselves to be the racists, whether it is done by whites or blacks.  We already know about Wright and the Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan.  Hillary Clinton supporter Geraldine Ferraro complained that because Obama is black, he gets preferential treatment from the press.  And the Clintons themselves added fuel to the fire back in January when Hillary suggested that LBJ was the person most responsible for getting the Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed, lessening the efforts of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his role (which also lessens the impact Republicans had on that legislation; a greater percentage of the Republican minority in Congress voted for that act than the majority Democrats).  During that time, John McCain and the Republicans said nothing remotely racist about anyone, least of all Obama.  So, like a typical Democrat, Obama invented a controversy in order to win the election; to repeat Hugh Hewitt, "He's about winning, whatever the cost."

To add to Obama's dishonesty, he said the following in "the speech":
can no more disown him [Rev. Wright] than I can disown the black community.  I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother...
But Obama has disowned his entire white heritage, and did so long ago.  And I think that is part of his problem.  He considers himself a black man because his father, along with his father's family, is from Kenya, and that is fine.  However, he isn't "black" like the vast majority of African-Americans in this country; his black heritage isn't that of one whose ancestors were slaves owned in America by white Americans.  In fact, Obama's personal black heritage is the same as his personal white heritage; he is a descendant of immigrants; as mentioned, his father was from Kenya, and his mother is English-Irish.  He is descended from immigrants, those who volunteered to come to America, not anyone who was forced to come here as a slave.

White liberals are notorious for feeling guilty about America's slave owning past, often noting how many of the Founding Fathers owned slaves, and that slavery was originally written into the Constitution (before being removed by the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments).  As much as Obama is a black liberal, he is also a white liberal, although you'd never know it.  As I mentioned, I think part of Obama's problem is that he disowned his white heritage long ago.  But was it due in part to white liberal guilt, as is often the case?  Or was it due to his political ambition that he found it easier to only be seen as a black man?  I think it's both, a little bit of white liberal guilt, and a whole lot of ambition.

After coming to Chicago, Obama only associated with black Democrats and white liberal Democrats who helped perpetuate the victimhood he actually never faced, and seemed to do so only for political gain.  After all, political ambition is the reason he joined Wright's church in the first place, and chose Wright as his "spiritual mentor".  Obama's association with Fr. Pfleger can also be explained, since Pfleger is one of those that embodies white liberal guilt.  Obama's friendship with the Communist terrorist Bill Ayers rounds Obama out.

Face it; Barack Obama is a typical Democrat liberal hack politician.  For whatever reason, he's now decided to preemptively use the race card against his Republican opponents to try to gain an edge.  He isn't about "bridging the racial divide" or "crossing the aisle".  Just as Obama has done with regards to gay marriage (says he is against it but agrees with the recent California Supreme Court ruling), our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan (he wasn't going to either place until forced by John McCain), the terrorist surveillance program (he was against, but will now support the upcoming FISA updates), and campaign finance (he promised to use public funding for his general election campaign, then changed his mind), Obama has become very Clintonian, an opportunist.  He had said he wouldn't use his race during his Presidential campaign; now, he is using the race card.  Barack Obama is a liar, and a bald-faced one at that.  That, and he's being a jerk
